Bees are a BIG deal. Quirky anatomy. Nature nurturers. Serious pollinators. (Thank 'em for a third of your food supply.) These buzzin' Classic Leathers are the kind of bee appreciation that can kick it.
If we hit 500 pairs sold, we’ll donate $5,000 to HoneyLove, a non-profit with the mission to protect honeybees by educating communities and inspiring new urban beekeepers. That’s some honey at stake.
"It's fascinating how nature, science and everything in life is connected. And bees play a major role. For us, it was exciting to create a shoe that highlights them.
We focused on capturing what makes bees beautiful. So much inspired us—the flow of amber honey, the texture of pollen and natural forms of hives and, of course, bees themselves.
Details are everything. For the sole, we chose translucent gum and a hand drawn honeycomb pattern printed on foam. On the upper, terry cloth represents fuzzy pollen—collecting hairs on bees' legs and suede, fine textures on bees' bodies. A gelled heel cap for beekeeper gloves and a swirling print on the canvas for honey. The label features a hand-drawn honey bee and leads to a message on the sock liner.
Our hope? People who wear this shoe will remember the importance of bees (and think it looks cool)."

And if we sell 500 pairs, bees get a boost. The Reebok hive will donate $5,000 to the bee-celebrating and bee-saving non-profit, HoneyLove in Los Angeles.
